US senators say keep cannabis sales legal in Massachusetts

Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Ed Markey (D-MA) exclusively told Marijuana Moment that they will be voting against an initiative on the Massachusetts November ballot to roll back the state’s cannabis legalization law.
California Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton and Democratic lieutenant governor candidate Fiona Ma are both calling for an overhaul of the state’s marijuana laws—with Ma saying she wants to put a new cannabis measure on the ballot for voters to decide.
Iowa Democratic gubernatorial candidate Rob Sand is praising the Trump administration for rescheduling marijuana—saying that “I’m a believer that it should be treated the way we treat alcohol. And so when they did it, I said, ‘Good for them.'”
The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board voted to accept a rulemaking petition to create a process allowing marijuana businesses to document their participation in the medical cannabis market in order to ease their access to benefits under federal rescheduling.
